This much awaited compilation of essential classics comprehensively curated by Aliji, reflects his 20 year career as an international DJ and event organizer, throughout which he has worked with some of the most respected and influential artists of the electronic scene and goes to say, business aside, has also had the opportunity to enjoy a get to know an exceptional array of music.This sonic journey begins in the vaults with a retrospective passage back to the early days and those pinnacle tracks that formed the backbone of Aliji’s DJ sets at the time. Several of the tracks featured in ‘The Vaults’ are from a specific chapter of his musical story, particularly where the UK festival scene is concerned. The earlier half of the naughties was a ‘Golden Age’ where many things came together in a highly psychedelic manner. ID Spiral, Inside-Us-All, Glade Festival, Liquid Records all played their role in this meaningful passage while new roads opened up to Sonica, Boom and worldwide pastures.The second part of the compilation takes us forward to the present, showcasing some of the sounds that find their way onto today’s dancefloors and chillout lounges, ruled by sumptuous electronica, from minimal tech house to more progressive techno beats.
