\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAce Ventura is one of the leading and busiest DJs & artists on the progressive and psytrance scene. \r\nFew artists in the progressive and psytrance universe command the global presence and enduring respect of Ace Ventura. For more than two decades, the project has stood at the cutting edge of the scene\u2014relentlessly touring, headlining the world\u2019s most iconic festivals, and igniting dancefloors with marathon DJ sets that have become the stuff of legend.\r\n\r\nBehind the name is Yoni Oshrat, one of Israel\u2019s most influential electronic music pioneers. Born into a deeply musical family\u2014his father a celebrated Israeli composer and songwriter, known for the Eurovision-winning \u201cHallelujah\u201d\u2014Yoni\u2019s path into sound seemed almost predestined. He began his career in the television and film industry as a sound producer, mastering the technical craft before discovering the blossoming trance movement of the mid-1990s. That discovery changed everything.\r\n\r\nTeaming up with DJ Goblin, he co-founded the psychedelic trance project PsySex (formerly Children of the Doc). Across three groundbreaking albums on HOMmega Productions, the duo helped establish Israel as one of the most important psytrance hubs in the world. But evolution is the heartbeat of every true artist.\r\n\r\nBy 2006, Yoni\u2019s creative compass began pointing toward deeper, groovier territory. He launched two solo projects\u2014Schatsi and Ace Ventura\u2014each reflecting a new dimension of his musical identity. While Schatsi found support from respected labels and even caught the ears of global tastemakers, it was Ace Ventura that would redefine his career.\r\n\r\nBlending the powerful, driving energy of PsySex with the hypnotic depth of progressive trance, Ace Ventura quickly rose to the top tier of producers. Early releases\u2014most notably the now-classic \u201cCardiac Arrest\u201d\u2014cemented his status as a leading force in the genre. In 2007, he released his debut solo album, Rebirth, on Iboga Records. The album became one of the year\u2019s defining releases and earned him the Psytrance category award at the Beatport Music Awards in 2008\u2014an achievement he repeated the following year after the release of the remix album Re:Boot.\r\n\r\nIn 2015, his second studio album, Paradise Engineering, propelled him into yet another massive worldwide tour, further solidifying his reputation as one of the most in-demand artists in the scene. From Boom Festival and Ozora Festival to Tomorrowland, from EDC Las Vegas to Rainbow Serpent Festival, Ace Ventura has left an indelible mark on every major stage imaginable. With an intense touring schedule that often sees him performing two to four times a week, his connection to the global trance family remains constant and unwavering.\r\n\r\nCollaboration has also been central to his journey. He is one half of Alpha Portal alongside Astrix, part of Easy Riders with Rocky Tilbor, a member of Zentura with Zen Mechanics, and collaborates as Liquid Ace with Liquid Soul. Each project showcases a different shade of his musical spectrum\u2014proof of an artist who refuses to stand still.\r\n\r\nIn 2018, together with Liquid Soul, he launched Psy-Nation\u2014a global traveling psytrance party concept that quickly expanded into Psy-Nation Radio, now one of the leading platforms dedicated to psytrance culture and music worldwide. Through events, radio, and curated compilations, Psy-Nation has become a unifying force for the global community.\r\n\r\nWhat sets Ace Ventura apart is not just technical excellence or relentless touring\u2014it is vision. His sets are journeys: expansive, emotional, meticulously crafted experiences that balance precision with raw energy. Whether delivering extended, hypnotic DJ performances or producing timeless studio releases, Yoni Oshrat continues to shape the sound and spirit of progressive trance.\r\n\r\nDecades into his career, Ace Ventura remains not only one of the busiest artists in the scene\u2014but one of its true architects.He is well known for his highly popular mixes, and his extra long DJ sets, and involved in four other highly successful projects: Alpha portal (with Astrix), Easy riders (with Rocky Tilbor), Liquid Ace (with Liquid soul) and Zentura (with Zen mechanics). \r\nTogether with Liquid Soul he also founded Psy-Nation, a global Psytrance travelling party line, and Psy-Nation Radio, a monthly Psytrance music & culture podcast & radio show.\r\n\r\nBehind the Ace Ventura project is Yoni Oshrat – one of Israel’s biggest talents in electronic music, with a career on top of the scene, stretching for over two decades. From an early age Yoni was heavily influenced with music. \r\nHe was born in a musical family with his father being a famous Israeli composer and songwriter (for instance the Eurovision winning song “Hallelujah”), and it was therefore no surprise that he went for a career in the sound business, at first in the TV and movie industry, as a sound producer. \r\nAfter discovering the blooming trance-scene in the mid 90’s he started DJing and teamed up with his friend DJ Goblin to form the psychedelic trance project Children of the Doc, which later changed name to PsySex. Together they released 3 highly successful full length albums on HOMmega Productions, and played a big part in establishing Israel as one of the most important trance-countries on the globe.\r\n\r\nAfter several years of intense touring, playing at some of the biggest parties and festivals worldwide, Yoni’s taste moved more and more towards the slower, groovier side of music, and in 2006 he moved on to form the two solo projects Schatsi and Ace Ventura. \r\nWith Schatsi he was quickly featured on labels like Hadshot and Mylo’s Breastfed Recordings, and top DJs like John Digweed spinned some of his material. More attention was put into the Ace Ventura project, and using a fusion of the hard, pumping dancefloor oriented themes from PsySex sound with the deeper, groovier influences of progressive trance, the Ace Ventura project became a big success, and in a matter of just a few releases, such as the now classic debut “Cardiac Arrest”, he was already considered among the top producers on the progressive trance scene. \r\nIn 2007 he finally released his debut solo album on Iboga Records. “Rebirth” was without a doubt one of the biggest releases of the year. It resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2008. \r\nAbout a year later the album was followed by a 2CD remix album “Re:Boot” with remixes by leading artists in various genres, which together with other EPs and singles, also resulted in Ace Ventura winning the Psytrance category at the Beatport Music Awards in 2009, for the second year in a row. \r\nMay 2015 saw the release of the 2nd Ace Ventura studio album, ‘Paradise Engineering’ which was a huge success and resulted in a massive worldwide tour.\r\n\r\nAce Ventura has been playing all around the globe, at every possible venue and in the biggest festivals, among them: Boom, Ozora, Antaris, Psy-Fi, Tomorrowland, Summer Never Ends, Emmaboda, Glade & BoomTown Fair in Europe; Symbiosis Gathering, EDC Las Vegas & Dreamstate in North America; XXXPerience, Adhana, BAT & Tribe in South America; Rainbow Serpent, Earthcore & Maitreya in Australia; And Solstice in Japan. His tour schedule is intense, finding him crisscrossing the globe with 2-4 gigs every week.\r\n\r\nBesides the Ace Ventura project Yoni is also involved in 4 other collaborative projects: Alpha Portal (together with psytrance legend Astrix); Easy Riders (together with friend and partner Rocky Tilbor); Zentura (together with dutch maestro Wouter Thomassesn aka Zen Mechanics); And last but not least, on the longtime collaboration Liquid Ace (together with Nicola Capobianco, Liquid Soul).\r\n He has also revived his Schatsi moniker lately, playing heavily bass infused dubby beats as Schatsi in Dub. Besides producing tracks for various labels, Yoni compiled a few successful compilations, namely the ‘New order’ series for HOMmega, which was the first progressive release of the label, as well as ‘Digital Beings’ for Echoes Records, the double CD ‘Dance Computer’ for Iboga Records, and the pumping ‘Psychedelic Awakening’ for Future Music Records.\r\n\r\nIn 2018 Ace Ventura & Liquid Soul formed ‘Psy-Nation’ a new travelling global Psytrance Party line which will see its debut in 2019. ‘Psy-Nation’ also features ‘Psy-Nation Radio’ a monthly podcast that celebrated its first birthday in Dec. 2018 and quickly turned into the leading podcast dedicated to Psytrance culture & music.
